Desiree Taylor
Desiree graduated Summa Cum Laude from Towson University with a B.A. in Early Childhood Education. She taught kindergarten at a Title I school in Prince George's County before transitioning to preschool. She taught at a private preschool and was promoted to program director. Eventually, Desiree owned and operated a childcare center that was licensed for 45 children. Desiree has 10 years of childcare administration experience and 20 years of early childhood education experience. Additionally, she has worked as a director at a charter school in Washington, D.C and is an author of a children’s book and mindfulness coloring book. She’s a mother of 2, a wife, a sister and daughter who is passionate about helping education become more accessible and equitable for all children and their families.
